to the 2006 - 2007 Great White Sharks mini mites team.

Coach Kip Maurer

Coach Kip played amateur hockey for Detroit Little Caesars AAA and played in several national
championship tournaments. Coach Kip and his teams won a few national titles.
From 1974 to 1978 played college hockey for the University of Michigan Wolverines. In 1976,
Kip played in the NCAA college hockey championship game at Detroit's Olympia stadium losing to the University of Wisconsin
Badgers in overtime with a final score of six to five. Coach Kip is a proud member of the Michigan hockey
hall of fame.
More recently Kip was an assistant coach for the PCHA Great White Sharks mini mites team
during the winter of 2005 as well as head coach for the Compuware mini mites team during the spring of 2005 and 2006.

Coach Doug played high school hockey for Detroit Country Day School and played junior "A" hockey
in Marquette, Michigan. As a coach Doug has held the role of both head coach and assistant coach for the past 15 years.
This includes 7 years with Honey Baked AAA, 2 years with Little Caesars AAA, and two years as the head coach of the Marquette
Americans Junior "A" team.

Coach Vince played travel hockey for both Westland and Adray as a member of those teams.
Vince has 9 years of experience coaching mini mite through bantam level hockey. In his 9 years of coaching he has been
both an assistant coach as well as a head coach of a team.

Other than some intense intramural broom ball games in college, Chris was not on the ice much
until 2 years ago when he put on his vintage CCMs in an effort to keep up with his son Max. He began playing pick up
games in the beer league with friends and then decided to join the Breakfast Club at Suburban Hockey for further instruction.
He has continued to skate at Suburban in the Learning Program and the BADHL Men's Hockey league. He recently completed
the USA Hockey Coaching Education Program level 1. The vintage CCMs were finally retired last Christmas and were replaced
by faster and much lighter GRAFs.
